Alex Foster Clinical Psychologist
Alex provides individual therapy to adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and many others. She also aids people in coping with sleep issues, work-life balance, difficult life transitions and relationship and family issues. Alex has substantial experience in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, workplace stress, mood disorders, sleep difficulties, anger management, mindfulness and both individual and group therapy. She draws from a number of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and others.
Alex puts great importance on having a collaborative and supportive style, believing that treatment is about teamwork between her and the individual, as they are the expert of their own life experience and circumstances. She believes that working together to create goals and build a pathway through therapy is the best way to improve mental health.
